Igmp snooping Multicast filtering Einstellungen

    Hallo,

    ich habe mittlerweile 6 VLAN mit diversen IOT Geräten, Kameras usw.. Die IOT Geräte sind größtenteils in einem VLAN.

    Es läuft eine UDMSE 2x 8-Port POE-Lite Switche und 3 AP.

    Macht es Sinn Igmp snooping Multicast filtering zu aktivieren ? Und wenn ja für alle Netzwerke ?

    Was Willst du hören.

    Igmp snooping Multicast ist für Multicast traffic und sorgt ggf dafür das der Traffic nur da landet wo er hin soll

    und nicht auf jeden Port Landet.

    Ja einschalten. Kucken ob alles geht und sich freuen...

    Realer nutzen tatsächlich weil der MC Traffic nur an den Ports landet der ihn auch will.

    Frage ist wieviel Multicast du Tatsächlich hast... also welche Audio oder Video Receiver hier

    noch Multicast macht.. das meiste aus dem Netz ist Unicast. Attest IPTV von Telekom

    villeicht noch..Macht Sonos noch Multicast für Mulicast ?

    Hast aber recht. Ausser vielleicht bei IOT Geräten dürfte bei mir kein Multicast laufen.

    Sonos hab ich nicht, aber ein paar HomePods. Weiß nicht ob Airplay Multicast macht.
