Update Linux Repository Error

Hallo,

ich habe seit einigen Jahren ein System mit 3 AC Lite APs. Früher habe ich ein Controller über einen Docker Container gesteuert. Seit 2-3 Monaten habe ich das Ganze in der 9er Version auf einem Proxmox mit Ubuntu 23.x. Da ich seit einigen Wochen Probleme mit Abbrüchen habe, würde ich gerne mal ein Update fahren um zu sehen, ob es besser wird. Leider kann ich unter Ubuntu keine ubnt-tools zum Durchführen eines Updates. Finde leider auch keine Anleitung... Weiß einer, wie ich das von 9.0.108 auf 9.0.114 update? Ich finde einfach nicht... Danke im Voraus. Habe mal die Meldung dem durchführen von sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade durchgeführt.

Auch den Workaround auf der Hilfeseite von Ubiquiti mit aktualisieren der Repo-Codes führt nicht zum Erfolg.

Ubuntu 23.10 (Mantic) ist aus dem Support, Du musst ein Upgrade machen, am besten auf eine LTS Version (24.04).

Backup vom Controller machen, die uralte Ubuntu Version runterschmeissen und eine aktuelle LTS installieren. Dann am besten mit den bekannten Scripts aus dem Unifi Forum den Controller neu installieren und das Backup wieder einspielen.

Versuche es erst mal mit einem Distribution Update

Backup der VM machen
do-release-upgrade auf der Shell der VM

und warte ob das geht, das kann einige Zeit dauern.

Wenn nicht, mal die Datei

/etc/update-manager/release-upgrades

editieren und schauen, welche Updatepfad dort eingetragen ist

Normal oder LTS

dann auf LTS wechsel und noch mal do-release-upgrade starten.

Wäre ne Option, schneller ist ein Backup -> Restore und neuinstallation der VM.

Und wieder zurück auf den Docker Container (in einer Linux VM), damit es beim nächsten Mal einfacher wird.

Mit dem OS Upgrade hat es geklappt. Danke!

Aber ich glaube, einer der APs ist defekt. Funzt im 2,4 GHz Bereich nicht mehr... Schon mehrfach resettet, aber kein 2,4 GHz Gerät kann sich einloggen. 5GHz läuft einwandfrei... Mal ein bisschen weitertüffteln.

Was macht das einfacher ? Da hast noch eine Ebene mehr, die Probleme machen kann.

Linux Container auf Proxmox kann man problemlos backupen und restoren, das dauert wenige Minuten.

Und wenn man regelmässig das OS updatet, kommt es auch nicht dazu, das die genutzte Version End-of-Life ist

Alles richtig, aber lhoem nutzt kein LXC, sondern eine VM. Und in dieser Konstallation ist der Controller als Docker Container empfehlenswert, weil außer des Kernels nichts vom (VM-) Host genutzt wird, was Migrationen erleichtert.
