Overview

This release includes updates to the core components and a new version of the console communication layer to enhance performance and better support future features and functionality.

Due to the scope of the underlying changes, we recommend a gradual update for customers with multiple phones.

Overview

This release introduces an updated Shortcuts experience, a redesigned phone UI, and a new Call Queues toggle.

Messaging (SMS)

• Added SMS messaging. Send and receive text messages from the phone. Requires Talk 5.2.7 or newer.
• Added support for sending and receiving messages on numbers shared through a group.
• Deleting a conversation removes it from all phones that share the number, but it remains available in the UniFi Talk console application.

Quality of Life Improvements

• Added Call Queue details to the incoming call screen.
• Added the caller's phone number next to the contact name on the in-call screen.
• Updated ringtone selection and sorting.
• Added an error message for invalid netmask entry when configuring Ethernet.
• Eased restrictions when assigning or re-assigning locked phones. Applies to already-adopted phones after a reset. Requires Talk 5.2.7 or newer.

Bugfixes

• Fixed an issue where the phone display would not turn off.
• Fixed an issue where the Recents info screen did not show the caller's phone number.
• Fixed an issue where repeatedly declining a Call Queue call could leave the phone ringing with no call screen.
• Fixed Bluetooth headset issues where call volume could stay at minimum, or audio could be lost after answering a second call.
• Fixed issues that could cause the phone to restart during phone assignment and profile reassignment.
• Fixed an issue where Call Queue assignments were not cleared when a profile was reassigned.
• Fixed an issue where the Firmware Version section appeared on the System screen for devices provisioned with firmware updates disabled in Interface Designer.
