Zum einen fehlen Daten für den IPS/IDS Durchsatz.

Scheint wohl ein Controller drin zu sein?!

Auf der Produkt Seite wird zB angezeigt das mehrere Express Meshen oder aber ein Express von einem Gateway gespießt wird.

Nirgendwo aber ein Hinweis das man zB den LAN Port an einen Switch bringt und damit ein gesamtes Netzwerk aufbaut.

Preis 144 (inkl. MwSt) zu 144 des Gatewy Lite.......... alles seltsam

Aber muss ja, wieso sollte man keinen Switch am LAN-Port anstecken können.

Moin zusammen,

ich vermute, dass ist eine Reise Router ( Gateway ) welches man im Hotel oder Konferenz Plug&Play nutzen kann. Auch als Gateway für Großbaustellen könnte ich mir die Büxe vorstellen, Szenarien gibt es eigentlich reichlich.

Ich denke Reise Router wäre nicht ganz korrekt, dafür fehlt zB LTE.

Ja Gateway für Baustellen oder andere zeitlich und örtlich begrenzten Büros wäre ein Möglichkeit.

Da man bis zu 5 weitere Unifi Device verwalten kann, um ein kleines Netzwerk aufzubauen, au was für kleine Wohnung oder Häuser.

Weil das GErät so klein ist, würde ich ihn als AP lieber nutzen aber dafür könnte er auch etwas stärker sein, bzw mehr Antennen haben.

Was halt auch praktisch wäre, wenn man wie beispielsweise bei der Fitz Box (Internetzugang über vorhandenes Wlan) einstellen könnte. Aber dies wird wohl nicht möglich sein.

Ist doch eigentlich ideal für alle fortgeschrittenen Normalnutzer, die ein bisschen mehr vom Netzwerk haben wollen. Aktuell laufen in meiner Privatwohnung ein EdgeRouter X und ein U6 Lite in Kombination; der Unifi Express vereint die Geräte (auch wenn Unifi Network natürlich was anderes als EdgeOS ist), zusätzlich spart man sich den PoE-Injektor. Einzig die nur zwei vorhandenen RJ45-Ports sind bitter, wobei ein Switch dazu auch nur 20 Euro kostet. Ob so ein User mehr als eine Fritzbox braucht ist natürlich immer so eine Sache.

Kann mir auch vorstellen, dass sich das Ding gut in kleinen Büros (Einzelunternehmer oder maximal 4-5 Leute) machen würde. Dazu sehr kosteneffektiv.
