• UniFi Access Point 6.6.55

    https://community.ui.com/releases/UniFi…6c-1889ea6dbaed

    Overview

UniFi Access Point 6.6.55 brings a multitude of improvements for our recent Private Pre-Shared Keys (PPSK) feature, as well as for overall stability, meshing, band steering, and more.

It is currently available on the Official firmware update channel for all models except Gen6, as Gen6 APs have 6.6.56 available as RC.

    Improvements

    • Improve band steering logic to prevent client connection bouncing between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.
    • Improved configuration resiliency to avoid APs going Offline after a firmware update/adoption in very rare cases, requiring a power cycle to recover.
    • Improved wireless uplink candidate selection when multiple uplinks are available.
    • [Gen4] Improved wireless adoption resiliency.
    • [Gen6] Improved throughput on PPSK and RADIUS-assigned VLAN SSIDs for untagged clients when no VLAN-tagged clients are connected.
    • [Gen4/Gen5] Improved firmware update and adoption resiliency.

    Bugfixes

    • Fixed kernel crashes to improve overall stability.
    • Fixed APs rarely going into an Adoption Failed state after a firmware update.
    • Fixed PPSK VLAN not working when the same VLAN ID is being used for another WLAN.
    • Fixed PPSK VLAN assignment not working after roaming between APs.
    • Fixed EAP authentication failing in some cases with third-party RADIUS servers.
    • Fixed BLE bridge not working in some cases (specifically when the AP and Protect Console are on different subnets). This would cause UP-Sense devices to go offline.
    • Fixed inform URL not updating if the AP management subnet is changed, leading to the AP going Offline in NET until `set-inform` is issued again.
    • Fixed currently broadcasting channel showing as 0 in some cases.
    • Fixed APs with a wired uplink sometimes needing a power cycle to recover from meshing with each other during a USW/Console firmware update.
    • Fixed band steering occasionally not steering dual-band clients from 2.4GHz to 5GHz after the 5GHz DFS CAC timeout.
    • Eliminated client connectivity downtime when configuring SNMP, NTP, minimum rate, and toggling Debug Logging.
    • Fixed incorrect neighbor reports after an RF Scan.
    • [Gen2] Fixed AP showing up for adoption before getting a valid IP. If the AP was adopted in this state, it would temporarily get stuck in an Adoption Failed state.
    • [Gen2] Fixed high CPU usage when a lot of unauthorized guests are connected to a guest WLAN.
    • [Gen4] Fixed incorrect country beacon IE being advertised for Belgium.
    • [Gen4] Fixed 5GHz radio not beaconing on a DFS channel in certain cases, requiring a reboot/configuration change to fix.
    • [Gen4] Fixed intermittent 2.4GHz connectivity issues observed by some users (`MgmtRingFullCount` in log).
    • [Gen5] Fixed LED flashing white during firmware update in some cases.
    • [Gen5] Fixed multicast packets not addressed to a known multicast group being dropped instead of forwarded when multicast enhancement is enabled.
    • [U6+] Fixed wirelessly connected U6+ going offline continuously in rare cases.
    • [U6+] Fixed transmit power reverting to low values in some countries after a power cycle.
    • [U6+/U6LR+] Fixed incorrect basic rates being advertised in 2.4GHz beacons when a minimum data rate of 12 Mbps is configured.
    • [U6+/U6LR+] Fixed occasional client connectivity issues (`QDMA Tx hang` in log) introduced in 6.5.64.
    • [U6+/U6LR+] Fixed ethernet port switching to 100HDX in rare cases, leading to poor client connectivity.
    • [U6-LR] Fixed AP occasionally getting stuck on a firmware update, requiring a power cycle to recover.
    • [U6-LR] Fixed AP rarely not broadcasting WLANs 1 hour after boot/configuration change (`AP Beacon OFF` in logs).
    • [U6-LR] Fixed channel change alerts being reported in NET randomly.
    • [U6-LR] Fixed 2.4GHz radio randomly stops broadcasting. This was a race condition and occurs rarely.
    • [Gen6] Aligned 6GHz regulatory requirements for Italy, Greece, Luxembourg, Latvia, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, and Thailand. Manual channel selection may require a Network Application update.
    • [Gen4/Gen5] Fixed certain connected clients not showing up in the Network Application.
    • [Gen4/Gen5] Fixed blank remote syslog lines being sent by the AP sometimes.
    • [Gen4/Gen5] Fixed transmit power not changing to align with regulatory rules when the configured channel is changed.
    • [Gen4/Gen5] Fixed IPv6 broadcast messages not being forwarded when multicast enhancement is enabled.
    • [Gen4/Gen5] Fixed indoor-only channels potentially being used when outdoor mode is enabled and radio channel is set to Auto.
    • [Gen4/Gen5] Fixed AP not scanning for cleaner channels (Auto Channel Scan) when the configured channel width is changed and the channel is set to Auto.
    • [Gen4/Gen5] Ensure APs pick a non-DFS channel after a radar hit on a DFS channel.
    • [Gen4/U6-Lite] Fix 2.4GHz clients occasionally not being able to associate to the AP.
    • [Gen2/Gen3/Gen6] Fixed APs rarely not broadcasting at 5GHz when the channel configuration is changed to a DFS channel.
    • [Gen2/Gen3/Gen6] Fixed RF Scan not working when outdoor mode is enabled.
    • [Gen2/Gen3/Gen6/U6+/U6LR+] Fixed ARP not working for 1-3 minutes after a client roams.

    Known issues

    • [Gen6] Maximum transmit power on DFS channels in the United States is set to lower than permitted limits when the AP is configured to broadcast at Auto / High transmit power. This will be resolved in 6.6.56, which will be released to EA and RC in the coming days.

  • Hallo zusammen
