samba/cifs und nfs sind 2 paar verschiedene Schuhe.
Ich selber habe NFS im Einsatz. Komm bitte nicht auf die Idee, eine NFS Freigabe beim booten mounten zu lassen Ist Mount nicht verfügbar, bootet deine Kiste nicht!
Hier ein Auszug von meiner fstab vom Client:

Wenn du die /etc/fstab angepasst hast einfach mit mount -a laden. ein ls -lah /mnt/ext-hdd liefert in meinen Fall den Inhalt meiner Externen Platte!
