Overview

Migrating UXG-Pro to version 3.0+

Migrating UXG-Pro to version 3.0 offers several benefits, including:

• Consistent versioning across all UniFi OS Consoles and Gateways
• Enhanced stability and resource efficiency
• Quicker, more reliable feature delivery

What do I need to know?

• The update will take approximately 3 minutes, during which your network and gateway functionality will be interrupted.
• Your UXG-Pro must be updated to 1.13.6 or newer before you apply this migration, else you may encounter unknown issues.
• You cannot downgrade your UXG-Pro to 1.13 or older after it has been migrated to 3.0+.
• Use Network application version 7.3.80 or newer to update, we do not recommend updating via SSH.

Secondary Data Migration

All critical data will remain intact, however some advanced logging may be lost.

Note: Any third-party modifications will be lost upon upgrading.

Improvements

• Add Ad-blocking feature.
• Add Wireguard VPN Server support.
• Add OpenVPN tunnel in traffic routes.
• Add support for DHCP Client option 77 and 90.
• Add CoS for DHCP requests supports (specific ISP requirement), pending Network application.
• Improve smart queue throughput when only one direction is limited.
• Decrease amount of DNS traffic to bare minimum via U-LTE when it is not active.
• Optimize ARP cache timeout on WANs to fix connection issue with special ISPs, requires Network application 7.3 or newer.
• Optimize ARP cache size for large setup.
• Update GeoIP Database.
• Update DPI Signatures.

Bugfixes

• Fix WAN failover issue when WAN1 is link up but with bad health.
• Fix L2TP VPN clients not appearing when using External RADIUS server.
• Fix corrupted IPsec Site-to-Site VPN rx/tx counters when the number reaches to 2Gb.

Known issues

• Site-to-Site VPN may report offline while it's actually online.
• MCAD progress may slightly leak memory over time.
• You may see no WAN IP on the LCM when using port remapping or load balancing.
• You may see 3.0.1.7fb38b0 appearing as update, these are exactly the same versions.

Additional information

• The ssh host key will be re-generated due to a new operating system.

Finde ich aber voll gemein Da machen die auf der UDM Pro Ewigkeiten rum, erst Migration zu 2..4.x, danach soll eine Beta zu 2.5.x kommen und erst danach zu OS3.

Wer sich mit SSH und Key anmeldet, muss den Key neu generieren.

ZURÜCKGEZOGEN!! Update geht nur per SSH, alle anderen Varianten schlagen fehl. Wer Probleme bekommt im UI Forum einen eignen Post aufmachen und UI-Glenn taggen ( @UI-Glenn ), er hilft weiter
