    UniFi OS - Dream Machines 4.0.3 adds support for Automatic Failover for Shadow Mode and improves gateway resiliency.

    • Both consoles need to be the exact same to enable Shadow Mode.

    • Added system logs when admins reboot the console.

    • Allow importing users with email via CSV files.
    • Allow Full Management users to trigger firmware updates.

    • Fixed a rare case where PPPoE throughput was lower without using 0 for Smart Queues.

    Known issues

    • Enabling High Availability might fail if it's done directly after adopting the Shadow Gateway, please wait 10/15 minutes after adopting the Shadow Gateway before enabling High Availability.

    ist das nicht genau das, dass man ein 2. identes gerät hinstellt und dadurch keinen ausfall hat im falle des falles?


    wirst du halt aktuell eine SE haben weshalb das system sagt du brauchst eine SE?

    genau....falsch interpretiert :smiling_face:

    viel interessanter.. Der OSX Brave Browser Login funktioniert nicht mehr mit Unifi :smiling_face: Safari hingegen funktioniert.

    Ich habe die 2F aktiviert... Alle Geräte können weiterhin den Login.

    nen cloud-router stell ich mir als laie etwas schwierig vor :grinning_squinting_face:
    aber hab mir ne gateway ultra hingestellt, das war in 15min ready to go als backup für meine udm-pro.
    also das shadow gateway sehe ich eher in firmen oder sehr enthusiastischen privatnutzern. für mich reichen wohl die 5min die ich zum umstecken brauche.

    Ehrlicherweise ist das plötzliche Ableben von Routern ja auch ein so seltener Vorgang, dass selbst kleinere Unternehmen normalerweise keinen Gedanken an High Availibility verschwenden. Im Fehlerfall hat man dann mal für einige Minuten oder wenige Stunden kein Internet, das ist nicht schön, wird aber erst dann kritisch, wenn deswegen eine Produktion still steht oder der Betrieb wirklich gar nicht mehr arbeiten kann.

    Zentrale Komponenten als cold spare im Schrank zu haben ist natürlich immer eine gute Idee und verkürzt Downtimes erheblich.

    ja drum schrieb ich ja schon dass das eher für große firmen sein wird, wobei die meist auf andere marken als unifi zurückgreifen. da sieht man aber, dass sie sich wirklich immer mehr richtung enterprise-lösungen orientieren.

    Ich hab für meinen privaten fall mit dem gateway ultra einen kostengünstigen ersatz für meine udm pro im falle des falles gefunden. Das reicht auf jedenfall dicke bis der ersatz da ist. einzig protect kann es nicht, ist mir aber für die paar tage egal, da das bei mir mehr eine spielerei als notwendigeit ist. hat mit einer kamera als digitaler türspion angefangen... jetzt sinds 8 cams :grinning_squinting_face:

    Habe versucht, das Update per SSH zu fahren, da meine UDM SE es noch nicht angeboten bekommt. Bin derzeit auf 4.0.3 und stelle fest, dass "upgrade" gar nicht mehr geht ("command not found") und "fwupdate" nicht funktioniert, weil angeblich "no such file or directory" - obwohl der in den Browser gepastete Link sofort den Download des Firmware Images startet.


    Hat jemand eine Idee, welche Befehle im 4er-Zweif funktionieren?

    Vielleicht sogar jemand, warum manche Befehle unter neueren Firmwares einfach nicht mehr funktionieren (ist mir auch mit anderen aufgefallen)?

    Danke, Nachts findet man manchmal den Wald vor lauter Bäumen nicht.

    Damit klappt es, die offiziellen Seiten sollten doch immer erste Anlaufstelle sein. Ich war nur auf diversen Drittanbietern, deren Listen mit Befehlen einfach nicht mehr up to date sind.

    Ist das so gewollt oder ist ist das ein bug:

    Persönlich finde ich das ja schrecklich die spalte so hervorzuheben. Wüsste da auch keinen optischen Mehrwert :thinking_face:

    Moin, sorry das ist mir jetzt gerade erst aufgefallen. Der Global Schalter für IPv6 Unterstützung zum ein und oder ausschalten ist ja entfernt worden. War das jetzt in der OS Version eine Änderung oder in der Network Version?

    Finde es schade der war sehr nützlich.
